Erie Kennel Club

Incorporated in 1906 by many prominent members of the Erie community, Erie Kennel Club is the tenth oldest all-breed member club of AKC and the oldest in Pennsylvania. EKC is organized as a 501C-4 non profit.

Our Objectives

To further the advancement of purebred dogs.

 

To encourage sportsmanlike competition.

To conduct sanctioned matches, conformation shows, companion and performance events under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

The Erie Kennel Club is proud to offer a variety of events throughout the year to promote sportsmanship and companionship through trainings, trials, and shows.

Membership Meetings: Monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The meetings are held at the EKC Clubhouse starting at 7:30pm. Guests are always welcome! New members are encouraged to attend and applications for membership are available.

Conformation Practice: Practice is held on Tuesdays starting at 7pm (with the exception of the 2nd Tuesday of the month).

Rally Classes and Obedience Practice: Rally classes and Obedience practices are frequently held at the Clubhouse at a minimal cost.

Agility Trials: Through the EKC’s relationship with Countryside Agility in Erie, PA, the club is happy to offer 12 agility trials each year. The trials are open to the public!

All Breed Show: The Erie Kennel Club is delighted to offer one of the largest All Breed Shows in the area. The event draws a significant number of breeds, handlers, groomers, and vendors and is open to the public! The show is generally held at the end of January.
